This branch of Dentistry actually deals with the complete anatomy and development of diseases related to teeth. The main procedure covered under this speciality at Ahuja Eye Centre and Dental Clinic is Root Canal Treatment. Root canal treatment is the last resort to save an original tooth from removal, and it is carried out to treat a diseased or infected tooth. Under this procedure, the damaged pulp in the centre of the tooth is cleaned to flush out any traces of infection that might still be present inside it.

Once the infected pulp is removed, the empty space inside the tooth is covered with a ceramic filing to root out all possibilities of any further infection developing in the treated tooth. Carrying out this procedure generally takes around 3 to 4 sittings at our centre, but if it is an intentional RCT procedure, it is normally finished in a single sitting of around 3 hours duration.
